This talk will cover woodland history and management practices, and the evidence of the past that can be found as lumps and bumps in pits in our local woods. John Morris worked for the Chiltern Woodlands Project for 31 years, based in the Chilterns AONB office, where he offered advice and assistance with woodland management. He helped update the Ancient Woodland Inventory for the Chilterns and he has led woodland visits to look at woodland archaeological features for many years.
