Come and see some fantastic aerial photographs of archaeology sites in Bucks. Mike will describe the continuing role contributed by views from the air in helping to understand the county’s constantly changing landscape. Over the last twenty years or so Mike has been fortunate in being able to hitch lifts with several generous amateur pilots flying over Buckinghamshire. The talk, illustrated with many of his own photographs, will also note public-access aerials and digital techniques as a source of completely unsuspected new discoveries. He will also note some of the pitfalls lying in wait for interpreters including ‘fairy rings’ and golf courses!
